Privacy policy
The short version
- The names and notes you enter stay on your own device. We never receive them.
- There are no accounts, ads, analytics or tracking.
- We don't sell or share anyone's information.
Who we are
FairTables is made by Rumblr LLC. In this policy, "we" means Rumblr LLC. You can reach us at kelvin@rumblrcoffee.com.
What the app stores, and where
FairTables works the same on iPhone, iPad and the web app at app.fairtables.com. Everything you enter is saved only on the device and browser you're using:
- class names and student names
- attendance, groups, roles, pinned students and saved sets
- the optional private notes about students (academic level, energy and focus, and who to keep apart)
- your settings, like theme and animations
On iPhone and iPad this lives in the app's storage. In the web app it lives in your browser's storage for that address. None of it is sent to us or to anyone else, so we can't see it, and there's no copy on a server.
Because nothing syncs, a class you make on one device or browser won't appear on another. Deleting a class in the app removes it. Deleting the app, or clearing your browser's data for the web app, removes everything.
What we don't do
- No accounts or sign-in.
- No advertising, and no analytics or tracking tools in the app or on this site.
- No selling, renting or sharing of personal information.
Students and schools
FairTables is a tool for teachers and group leaders. It isn't meant for children to use, and students don't give it any information. Student names you enter stay on your device, so we never collect or hold student records. If your school has rules about where student names can be stored, follow them. First names or nicknames work fine.
Hosting
This site and the web app are hosted by Cloudflare. As with any website, Cloudflare handles technical details such as your IP address and browser type in order to deliver pages and protect against abuse. We don't use this information to identify anyone. Our fonts and images are served from our own site, so pages don't load anything from other companies.
Optional tips
On the website and web app you can choose to tip Rumblr LLC through Venmo or Zelle. Those payments happen in Venmo's app or your bank's app, under their own privacy policies. We only see what those services show any recipient, such as your name and the amount. Tips are never required and aren't offered inside the iPhone and iPad app.
If you email us, we use your message only to reply to you.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
